I have been creating things for as long as I can remember and was lucky to have a childhood where exploration, time in nature, and creativity were encouraged. I frequently had my hands in the mud or dirt and am grateful for the connections to nature and to myself that I discovered there.
To me, nature and creativity are inextricably linked. Creating things allows me to reconnect to a sense of mystery and discovery. I often turn to nature for solace, harmony, and inspiration, and this in turn feeds back into my creative process. Making art is a powerful, transformative force in my own life. I am honoured to share this with others in my work as an art therapist. We are all creative beings in our essence, and I know from experience the power of art to heal and transform.
I live with my family in the beautiful mountains of B.C. and enjoy hiking, the outdoors, skiing, and gardening when I am not spending time with my family, creating art or helping others connect with their inner truths through art and yoga.
